FCAT EXPLORER

-FCAT Explorer 2007 login directions (same as 2006):
      -Sign-in name: first initial followed by last name with no space
              Example: Joe Smith would be jsmith
      -Password: date of birth =month, day, and full year with no slashes
       You will need to put zeros in for single digit days and months
              Example: 1/1/1995 would be 01011995

The Florida Learning Network, http://www.fllearningnetwork.com, provides students homework help when they need it. Whether students are struggling with subject-related concepts or need assistance with weak skill areas, tutors are available through the convenience of the Internet. Students can connect with a tutor from home, after-school programs, the library—anywhere there is an Internet connection. Florida Learning Network is a collection of online resources for students in grades K-12. Tutoring and guidance in accordance with Sunshine State Standards is provided for mathematics, science, reading, and social studies at no cost.
Florida Learning Network provides students with these resources:
v Real-time, online tutoring through an electronic whiteboard provided by trained tutors
o a whiteboard is a place where students and tutors can interactively ask and answer academic questions in writing
v Searchable educational content designed to assist with homework and projects
v Monitored bulletin board with educational content provided by students, mentors, parents, and teachers
v Links to select educational Web sites

Tutoring hours are Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Time and Central Time for K-5 grades and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern Time and Central Time for grades 6-12. Help desk hours are from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern Time.

Information containing the registration process for teachers and district administrators will be emailed later this week. Students, parents, and librarians can register at any time. Students under 13 must have parental permission to participate in the tutoring sessions. Only students can participate in the tutoring sessions but parents can link to their student and view saved tutoring sessions

First Time Driver (D.A.T.A.)
ONLINE DRIVER'S LICENSE EXAM
Never had a Driver's License? All first time drivers in the State of Florida are required to take the Drug Alcohol Traffic Awareness (DATA) course before applying for their license. Take the 4 hour class at your convenience and from the privacy of your own home! By taking this course, you will learn about how alcohol and other drugs affect your ability to drive, laws and responsibilities, safe driving techniques, and how to increase your awareness on our roadways. You will also have the option of taking your driver's license exam online after completing this course (if applicable).
